Hello everyone, welcome back to CybercityHelp. In our today’s article, we are going to discuss about Python such as what exactly it is, its applications, its usage, and the concepts of coding and programming languages. So let’s get started.
Before we begin learning Python, we first need to understand two important terms that may look similar but are not the same. These terms are coding and programming languages.
What is Coding?
You might have heard the term “coding” before, but many beginners often get confused between coding and programming languages. A lot of people think both are the same, but they are not. Let me explain it in a simple way.
Coding is nothing but a set of instructions that we give to a computer in a language that it can understand. Now, why do we say “a language that it can understand?” Because computers cannot understand human languages. They cannot understand English, Hindi, or any other human languages.
Computers have their own language, and if we want them to perform a task, we must give instructions in their language. Whenever we give instructions to the computer in a language it can understand to perform a task, that entire process is known as coding.
What are Programming Languages?
Now let me explain about the language that computers can understand. These languages are known as programming languages. A programming language is a set of rules and instructions given to the computer to perform a specific task.
There are many programming languages available such as Java, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Python, C, and C++. You might have heard the names of at least one or two of these. But our focus here is Python, so let’s understand what Python actually is.
What is Python?
Python is one of the programming languages mentioned above. It is widely known for being powerful, simple, and easy to learn. Python was created by Guido van Rossum in the late 1980s, and since then, it has become one of the most popular programming languages in the world.
Why did Python become so popular compared to other programming languages?
The main reason is its simple and readable syntax. The code written in Python almost looks like plain English, which makes it extremely easy for beginners to understand.
Even if you have never written any code before, you can still understand most Python statements at first glance. That’s why Python is so widely loved across the world and why people prefer learning it over many other languages.
Where Python is Used and What are its Applications?
Apart from being simple, Python is also very powerful. It is used in many different fields such as web development, data science, machine learning, automation, artificial intelligence, networking, and more. Big companies like Google, Netflix, Instagram, and YouTube also use Python in their applications. This shows how trusted and powerful Python really is.
Another great advantage of Python is its huge global community. Whenever you get stuck while learning or writing code, you will always find someone who has already faced the same problem and shared a solution. This makes learning Python even easier.
So this was just an introductory article about the Python programming language. Since this is our first article, we have only explained the theoretical part like mainly its introduction and definitions.
We hope this article helped you understand the basics of Python clearly. In case you didn’t understand any part, feel free to ask your doubts in the comment section. We will continue learning more about Python in our upcoming articles. So that’s all for today’s article. Thank you so much for reading it till the end!!
“So keep learning, keep growing!”
